Sessions will be relevant to local Democratic Party leaders, campaign staff/volunteer leaders, and for activists looking to organize and mobilize around the 2022 election. These sessions are designed to be a series, so while missing a session doesn't preclude you from joining subsequent sessions, we have designed each session to build off of the previous ones.

Be sure to sign up for each that is relevant to you/your work:

Learn to register Democrats, the Field Team 6 way! It's the #1 most direct, effective way to swing elections – and it's also incredibly fun.

We'll introduce you to Field Team 6, let you in on all the secrets of successful voter registration, and answer all your questions. You'll leave the call fired up, and knowing everything you need to lead your own voter drive!

NOTE: Time listed is Central, but just to be abundantly clear, this event will be taking place at 430pm Pacific/630pm Central.

We might have cracked the nut on texting! We're calling it BYOP or Bring Your Own Phone.

What is BYOP textbanking? Instead of raising money to pay for expensive, easy to use texting software, we're making texting available using slightly awkward, but still pretty easy technology. You’ll actually be using your computer not your cell phone, but you’ll use your cellular data plan or a Google Voice number you set up.

You will need to set two things up on your computer before attending our Field Team 6 BYOP Boot Camp. This document gives links to both items: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RQeU1Z9YVpnqI0dLFD7CV2HBEgP--R2-OfGITkfd34g/edit?usp=sharing

  1. ActionID. You may already have one if you phone or text banked with Field Team 6 in the past.

  2. Texting software that allows you to send text messages directly from your computer, using your cell phone carrier’s plan.

When you have both items ready, please register for Boot Camp!

Step right up on Thursdays, 4:00 PT! We'll be registering new Democrats in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Texas, and CA-22 (formerly CA-21). Let's get Democrats elected up and down the ballot!

We will train you up and set you loose! If you are tech-challenged, you might want to sit this one out as we work out the kinks.

During this time of crisis for Ukraine caused by Vladmir Putin which former President Donald Trump calls an act of "genius" this is a great opportunity to rally behind President Biden as he seeks to UNITE the nation in defense of democracy at home and abroad.

That also means we need to UNITE as a "big tent" party to build bridges and work together to steer public opinion back toward supporting President Biden and Members of Congress who will face tough re-election fights this year.

Hey Blue Warriors! If you're interested in helping build our 2022 Team please sign up and join our next meeting.

NDTC (National Democratic Training Committee)

For this month’s Trainer Talks, our three experts are diving in deep to the strategies needed to establish a connection with the audiences you’ll encounter on the campaign trail. The message you’ll use for a fundraising event will look different than the one used for a rally at a factory, and that’s okay! What matters most is knowing how to tailor your message while sticking to your core values and story of self.

This event is interactive, and we encourage you to bring your questions for these three expert trainers. All come with extensive on-the-ground messaging and communications experience.

LGBTQIA+ folks have made great strides in the past few years to increase representation in elected office, meaning more visibility and solidarity behind the issues that affect LGBTQIA+ folks day in and day out. From 2019 to 2020 alone, the number of elected LGBTQIA+ folks in office jumped 21%.

This momentum is no doubt incredible, though we must pay homage to the work of those who came before us, like Marsha P. Johnson throwing the first brick at Stonewall to ACT UP activists fighting for control of their healthcare. We can both celebrate progress while honoring the often overlooked histories of LGBTQIA+ political participation.

And one way for the legacy of these activists to endure is through even more LGBTQIA+ running for office. We invite any LGBTQIA+ identifying folks to join this special edition of our So You Want to Run for Office training, which will cover how to make this big decision with a unique focus on how your identity can play a role in this process.

This training is encouraged for prospective and early-stage candidates running for any office.
